A global supplier of innovative products used in molecular diagnostic testing is expanding its commercial team and looking for a Senior Marketing Manager. With dozens of new tools to launch over the next three years, we need a marketing professional with strong leadership skills who can bring strategic direction and vision to this evolving organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager / Senior Manager of Marketing will have the opportunity to develop global strategies and implement plans for a line of unique blood screening assays. The product line is based on the world's foremost nucleic acid testing technology, and the products are used to test more than 25 million blood donations annually. This is a mix of upstream and downstream marketing and duties include creating promotional and distribution strategies, working with the sales force and with market research vendors, and creating budgets and forecasts. You will also be asked to assess long-term market potential and make recommendations to senior management about new assays and reagents in development.
This is a strategic assignment where you will serve as the "voice of the customer" and collaborate closely with colleagues in R&D, Business Development, Sales and Finance to develop plans for new product development. Your team will be expected to work closely with domestic and international customers to stay abreast of the changing needs in the blood screening industry. As we further penetrate international markets, you will also be asked to research global distribution options and to monitor competitive trends in those markets. Our rapid rate of expansion means that significant opportunities exist for career advancement and professional development within two years.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- 4+ years of marketing experience in clinical diagnostics or with assays used in Molecular Biology applications.
- Marketing experience in infectious disease, blood screening, or in-vitro diagnostics is preferred, as is global experience
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or better in a scientific discipline; MBA preferred
